The Bachelor’s program in International Relations and Political Science (Post Bac)

You can study international relations after high school by joining the HEIP school in Paris. Our school offers a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Political Science, and you will graduate at the end of a 3-year program. This post-baccalaureate program includes a solid academic background in international relations, political science, law, economics, geopolitics and geo-economics.

HEIP offers nine modern languages : English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin, Arabic, Japanese and French sign language. The learning of three of them is mandatory for students during their three years of post-bac training.

The subjects offered in the first and second years help you acquire fundamental knowledge. During these two initial years, internships are not mandatory, but they are strongly recommended to help students discover the professional world.

In addition, the Bachelor’s program in International Relations & Political Science includes lectures, seminars and tutorials. You will have French and English as your learning languages. HEIP’s teachers will also help you with your student assignments, including :

  • preparation of your integration into the professional world;
  • internship search;
  • the implementation of your individual or group projects;
  • planning lecture series around public figures.

In your third year, you will have the opportunity to continue your education at our London campus. You can also study abroad for a semester to experience International Relations. It is possible to combine these end-of-course internships and one of them is mandatory for each third-year Bachelor student.

The objectives of this Bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Political Science (Post Bac)

HEIP’s Bachelor’s program helps you learn about international relations and political science. Its main objective is the professional integration of students. The studies aim to raise students’ awareness of the political, economic and societal issues facing countries and regions of the world today.

In practice, the subjects offered are designed to help students understand the different sections of the existing legal, economic and geopolitical environment. The training also focuses on the tools and methods of analysis and argumentation necessary to carry out the missions of a diplomat or analyst.

The professionalization component of these post-baccalaureate international relations studies is increasing from year to year. It is essentially about providing students with a solid foundation. The final objective of the program is to make each student operational in the professional world. With this in mind, the school favors university exchanges and internships abroad, particularly in the third year.

Who can enter the Bachelor’s degree program in International Relations & Political Science (Post Bac) ?

You have the possibility of joining the HEIP International Relations Bachelor program in the second or third year. This option will be accessible to you if you have the corresponding ECTS credits after your studies in political, human, economic, legal or social sciences.

To begin your post-baccalaureate international relations studies in the first year, you must have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent foreign degree . Graduating students are also eligible for this program.

In summary, these prerequisites are as follows:

  • Integration of the curriculum in the first year of the Bachelor’s program: Bachelor’s degree in hand or in progress or equivalent foreign diploma;
  • integration of the curriculum in the first year of the Bachelor’s degree: 60 ECTS credits obtained or in progress;
  • Integration of the curriculum in the second year of the Bachelor’s degree: 120 ECTS credits obtained or in progress.
