Future students play MEPs

Home » Future students play MEPs

On May 13, a simulation of the European Parliament took place at the Conseil Régional de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in Bordeaux.

The first enrollees for the first year at HEIP Bordeaux were invited to participate in this exceptional event, joined by several high schools.

The objective of this day is to put the students in the shoes of an MEP.

The perfect opportunity to get a taste of European politics and meet some of his future comrades.

The students were divided into political groups and had to debate, amend and vote on a bill on the protection of self-employed entrepreneurs (Uber, Deliveroo,…).

They haven’t even stepped foot in school yet and are already making us proud: three of them have volunteered to chair their group and speak in front of the House.

Several projects like this one will punctuate the next year, including a visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
