On Wednesday December 6, 2023, our amphitheater is transformed into a place of reflection and inspiration as we welcome Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former Prime Minister and President of the Leaders for Peace Foundation, for the first lecture in our exclusive series.

Under the evocative theme ofThe competition of leaderships“Mr. Raffarin offered much more than a simple presentation; he offered us a deep dive into the complex workings of global leadership.

Throughout his speech, he shared his vision of leadership and the foundations of exemplary leadership, while analyzing the international dynamics shaping our world. From Sino-American rivalry to Thucydides’ concept of the Trap, each concept was meticulously explored, offering students an enlightened understanding of contemporary challenges.

But what really captivated the audience were the poignant anecdotes from his political career, including his appointment to Matignon in 2002. These personal accounts transformed the conference into a veritable masterclass, where every word carried wisdom and experience.

By sharing his invaluable advice on the art of captivating an audience when speaking, Jean-Pierre Raffarin offered students much more than just a lecture; he gave them an invaluable lesson in the power of communication and leadership.

The resounding success of this event, with the enthusiastic participation of over 300 students, testifies to its profound impact and the general satisfaction it generated. This first conference was much more than just a get-together; it was an enriching experience that will go down as one of CSactu’s first successes, and the start of a series of rewarding conferences.

Organizing a conference: quite a story!

To ensure the success of the events, which brought together 300 students, it was essential to set up a dedicated team.

Under the direction of CSactu President Alexis Fournet, the event was carefully organized in close partnership with the administration of the host school, HEIP.

Mattéo Pessoa, in charge of conference invitations, is responsible for maintaining close contact with the offices of political figures and managing the team in the field.

Clara Privitera, as Communications Director at Csactu, was responsible for designing all communications materials for the conference and managing the team in the field, with the support of Jade Kouider, Florent Marion and Adrien Page for photography and Timothé Pessoa for video.

Antoine Busson moderated the conference.

Each event was managed with an iron hand by the dynamic team of Zoé Moussaud, Hugo Boulogne, Victor de Labriffe and Clément Le Lendais, all active and committed sports journalists at Csactu and HEIP students. They were in charge of on-site logistics such as registration, seating and security.

Our special thanks go to HEIP (Hautes Études Internationales et Politiques) and the OMNES Education group for their support in organizing these events, hosting the conferences on their Paris campuses, and distributing our communication on their channels.
