Hello ! I’m Marie-Salomé, a third-year student in the Bachelor’s program in Political Science and International Relations at HEIP.
I’m from Martinique and attended the Lycée Frantz Fanon in the French West Indies, where I graduated with an honors degree in Economics and Social Sciences. I then had a rich and varied university career, spending two years in the Licence de Droit program at the Université des Antilles. I realized that the current university system did not meet my expectations, and it was with no difficulty that I was able to join HEIP in Bachelor 1 at the start of the 2022 academic year.
I found a warm and understanding school on a human scale. In spite of everything, the change caused by the distance didn’t hinder my integration. HEIP Lyon has become like a second home, and my fellow students like a new family. The international outlook, the opportunity to learn new languages and study abroad for semesters were all factors that triggered my decision to join the program, along with the wide variety of courses taught by passionate, caring and humane lecturers who are always in touch with their students. That’s what I like best about HEIP.
Campus community life is thriving and very lively, enabling me to exchange ideas and debate with my fellow students on current international and political issues, within the diplomacy association Agora Nostra, to which I belong as co-chair of the national pole.
