A LONG-STANDING POLITICAL COMMITMENT
David-Xavier Weïss embodies a strong commitment to local politics, built up over the years between institutions, ministerial cabinets and elected office.
Today, as First Deputy Mayor of Levallois and Departmental Councillor for the Hauts-de-Seine, his day-to-day work is punctuated by exchanges with constituents, meetings in the field, inaugurations and the concrete implementation of public policies.

A SOLID ACADEMIC AND INSTITUTIONAL BACKGROUND
After a Master’s degree in management at Paris 13, David-Xavier joined HEIP for a Master’s degree in business administration. He wrote a dissertation on a topical political issue: decentralization in the Île-de-France region.
He then joined prestigious ministerial cabinets:
- Office of Jean-François Copé, then government spokesman
- Cabinet of Roger Karoutchi, as Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Relations with Parliament
These functions immersed him in the corridors of power, enabling him to develop a solid network and invaluable institutional experience.
HIS ADVICE FOR AN AMBITIOUS CAREER
David-Xavier shares some simple but demanding advice:
- Be bold: dare to step out of your comfort zone
- Develop your practical skills: knowing how to do, not just knowing how to say
- Master theart of communication: interpersonal skills, expression, persuasion
- Seize every opportunity, no matter how unexpected
